GRACE'S STORY
Grace is the name of the beloved grandmother of Grace's Giant Print publisher Jennifer Leigh Selig.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Grace was 99 years old, and in an assisted living facility. She was an avid reader, but she lost the ability to work her Kindle due to arthritic clumsy fingers and some memory issues, and her vision was so bad she couldn't read regular large print books. She was locked up, despairing, and bored out of her mind. Jennifer had two publishing companies already, and she decided to turn her publishing know-how into creating a giant print book series, using 30-point font instead of the traditional large-print 16-point font.

Grace devoured all of these books you see in the catalogue until her death in 2024. Now, thousands of seniors and others who are vision-impaired have been able to read again thanks to Grace's Giant Print Books.
As you'll notice from the books in print, Grace enjoyed mystery and crime fiction the most. The short story collections were particularly valued as her memory diminished near the end. Besides her love of reading, Jennifer's grandmother taught her the value of generosity. Jennifer has donated each book Grace read to assisted living facilities all over the country. |
"I bought this for my 92 year old Mother. I wasn't sure how she would like it, but she is reading it all the time. She has short-term memory issues, so the short stories are great!" ~ JS, from a 5-star Amazon review
