GRACE'S STORY
Grace is the name of the beloved grandmother of Grace's Giant Print publisher Jennifer Leigh Selig.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, Grace was 99 years old, and in an assisted living facility. She was an avid reader, but she lost the ability to work her Kindle due to arthritic clumsy fingers and some memory issues, and her vision was so bad she couldn't read regular large print books. She was locked up, despairing, and bored out of her mind. Jennifer had two publishing companies already, and she decided to turn her publishing know-how into creating a giant print book series, using 30-point font instead of the traditional large-print 16-point font.

Now not only does Jennifer's grandmother still enjoy her books at 102 years old, but thousands of seniors and others who are vision-impaired have been able to read again thanks to Grace's Giant Print Books.
Besides her love of reading, Jennifer's grandmother taught her the value of generosity. Now Jennifer donates each book Grace has finished (and she has finished nearly the entire catalog!) to assisted living facilities all over the country.
As you'll notice from the books in print, Grace enjoys mystery and crime fiction the most. The short story collections are particularly valued as her memory continues to diminish. |
"I bought this for my 92 year old Mother. I wasn't sure how she would like it, but she is reading it all the time. She has short term memory issues so the short stories is great!" ~ JS, from a 5-star Amazon review
